Reporting to the Logistics Manager you will provide effective route planning and control all administration within the logistics department. Key Responsibilities and Tasks To provide accurate and effective administration & record keeping. To schedule fleet & contracted haulage effectively to meet both service, fleet Utilisation and cost objectives. To ensure maximum fleet utilisation when route planning & exporting / importing for contracted haulage. To organise & control all contracted haulage and reduce contracted haulage costs as far as possible. Ensure compliance with all Transportation legal requirements relating to transportation by Road, Sea & Air. Also compliance with all Quality, EHS, insurance requirements, and GDP / Food Safety requirements. To report accidents, incident and near misses as per company policy / procedures and comply with all Safety notices. To ensure good housekeeping within the Logistics department, both internal workstations & vehicles. To process purchase and expense returns as required. To confirm delivery of orders dispatched / received is carried out in timeframe required. To ensure fleet service & maintenance is completed as required. The successful candidate will need to possess a good level of IT skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to this role along with the capability to follow established procedures are necessary. You will also be able to prioritise your work and display a high level of attention to detail whilst working within a team, IMDG training a distinct advantage.
