Logistic Planner Our client are a leading business within the facilities industry and we are assisting them in their search for an experienced Logistics Plannerwho will work in the transport division and be responsible in working in a standalone position and efficiently plan the routes of a large fleet for both day and night shifts. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and be confident in a standalone position and work proactively to manage the route plan effectively so that timelines etc are met. Working closely with the Transport Manager, we are looking for someone confident and who has the ability to cope with sudden issues that may arise such as traffic accidents etc. This permanent full time role will be located in Dublin West and interviews will happen immediately. Salary & Benefits : €55,000 Monday to Friday 11am 8pm Occasional weekend work Car Park 20 days Annual Leave Canteen Responsibilities : Develop and manage daily and weekly transport schedules. Optimize routing and vehicle allocation to improve efficiency and reduce fuel consumption. Monitor and track fleet performance and delivery targets. Liaise with drivers and depot managers to manage workloads and resolve service issues. Respond promptly to disruptions (e.g. traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns) with effective contingency plans. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Use transport management systems (TMS) and reporting tools to support decision-making Key Requirements : Proven experience in transport planning, logistics, or fleet coordination (waste or related industry preferred). Strong understanding of routing, scheduling, and transport regulations. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
