We are partnering with a well-regarded care provider in the Shankill area of South County Dublin to recruit a dedicated and skilledAssistant Director of Nursing for their established nursing home. Nestled within a beautifully maintained period property, this 67-bed facility offers a warm and welcoming environment for its residents. The home boasts well-appointed single and a double room, with excellent accessibility throughout, including lifts. About the Role : As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will be involved in the clinical and operational management of the nursing home, ensuring the highest standards of care and service delivery to all residents. You will work closely with the DON to lead and inspire a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Key Responsibilities : Provide strong day-to-day leadership, motivation and supervision to ensure the high standards of care. Champion and maintain exceptional standards of resident care and well-being. Oversee and ensure adherence to all Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) standards and regulations. Deputise for the Director of Nursing when required. Assist in determining service needs and plans in conjunction with the Director of Nursing and Management. Effectively manage and support all nursing home staff. What We Are Looking For : Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). Nursing management experience in the elder care setting Post registration Management qualification in health or a related field. Excellent Leadership, Organisational and Communication skills Ability to promote a team environment. Sound decision making ability and results driven. Willingness to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the company. Qualification in Gerontology and / or Dementia would be desirable.
