We are seeking aSenior Project Manager to lead and deliver capital projectsup to €10 million in valueforour client in a regulated manufacturing environment. This is a strategic, hands-on role where the candidate will work across departments to manage complex projects from inception through execution. About the Role The Senior Project Manager will operate with a high degree of autonomy, receiving strategic guidance as needed but expected to independently lead multidisciplinary project teams. Prior experience managing full-cycle projectswithin the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or a related regulated industryis essential. The successful candidate will guide teams that include cross-functional stakeholders, many of whom are not direct reports. Therefore, strong leadership and people-management skills are required. Experience with construction management and / or process equipment specification and qualification is highly advantageous. A deep understanding ofSafety, Quality, and Compliance is critical, as these form the foundation of all project activities. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of project execution, including safety, planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk, communications, and implementation. Develop project scopes and execution strategies in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Oversee the creation and review of engineering specifications, bid packages, and service contracts. Lead design (as applicable), procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. Support technical solutions related to manufacturing processes and equipment, coordinating closely with external engineering partners when needed. Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory expectations through robust quality control measures. Drive strategic decision-making and solution design for complex project phasing and execution challenges. Manage the introduction of new equipment, including pre-qualification problem-solving and troubleshooting. Serve as the project lead for multi-disciplinary teams, fostering collaboration across departments. Participate in investigations (e.g., root cause, cross-functional) and continuous improvement initiatives. Act as a safety role model, ensuring adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle. Supervise third-party contractors, A&E firms, and construction personnel when necessary. Support governance and leadership presentations for project approvals and updates. Collaborate with Project Controls on capital budget tracking and forecasting. Occasional travel may be required to support project execution at partner or vendor sites. Qualifications & Experience Degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum of5+ years in project management and / or engineering, ideally within a regulated or high-volume manufacturing environment. Demonstrated end-to-end project management experience, from concept to operational handover. Experience working in a Good Documentation Practice (GDP)-compliant and GMP-regulated setting. Strong technical background with the ability to engage in equipment lifecycle discussions and technical troubleshooting. Track record of working cross-functionally and delivering results through collaboration and influence. Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage teams in a matrix or multi-stakeholder environment. Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong presentation and reporting capabilities. Proficiency in data-driven decision making and root cause analysis.
