ABOUT THE JOB As part of our expanding outsourced finance department, were hiring a Finance Manager to oversee a portfolio of clients and lead a team delivering high-quality financial support. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys blending strategic advisory with operational leadership. Youll work closely with clients across a broad range of industries, from scaling start-ups to long-standing organisations, helping them meet their financial reporting obligations and supporting their internal finance processes. A key focus will be on delivering meaningful insights through reporting and forecasting, ensuring businesses can make confident, data-driven decisions. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end delivery of finance services to a diverse client base Oversee the preparation of management accounts, statutory reports, and financial statements Provide strategic input through budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning Act as the main point of contact for client queries and external audits Build trusted relationships, offering practical, solutions-focused advice Mentor and guide junior team members, encouraging personal and professional development Ensure the team operates efficiently and meets internal and external deadlines Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery using cloud-based finance systems Contribute to the wider growth strategy of the department, including business development initiatives Your Skills & Experience Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with several years post-qualification experience Proven track record of managing a finance function or outsourced finance services across multiple clients Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and forecasting Confident using cloud accounting platforms and advanced Excel skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build trust quickly Strong leadership and people management experience, with a passion for mentoring and developing others A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Previous experience in both practice and industry (including secondments) would be beneficial Experience delivering advisory services or managing transformation projects is desirable For further information on this opportunity or if you are considering the next step in your career get in touch with Chloe Neill at HireIQ in complete confidence.
