Mechanical Project Engineer

Overview

Our client is a leading mechanical and electrical contractor based in Dublin with a turnover of over €70 Million+.

They work on a wide variety of projects including commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare and data centres.

The company is experiencing growth and is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for the greater Dublin area.

The role offers exposure to multimillion euro mechanical packages with tier one main contractors.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive design reviews of drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure adherence to applicable standards and guidelines.

Oversee the installation of works to meet project specifications and the project QA plan, including pre-agreed benchmarks.

Develop alternative engineering solutions with detailed calculations and sketches for client approval.

Familiarize yourself with Design / IFC specifications and drawings to understand the project scope and generate / manage RFIs for client submission.

Review coordinated construction drawings and documentation, and prepare and monitor technical submittals for client approval.

Perform detailed reviews of specialist supplier packages for compliance with project specs, standards and design intent.

Prepare and monitor the procurement schedule with the procurement team.

Review BCAR preliminary inspection plans and coordinate with the quality team.

What Skills You Need

A Level 7 / 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Ideally, 3+ years of experience in Building Services.

Proficiency in IT, especially AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office.

What's on Offer

Successful applicants will receive a competitive package of more than €75,000.

This includes a base salary circa €60K-€70K plus a comprehensive benefits package including a bonus, pension contribution, a company vehicle, and a clear pathway to move into a Project Management role.
