Senior Project Mechanical Engineer

Our client, a leading expert in the Data Centre design are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Mechanical Engineer. Requirements : Minimum of 10+ years experience in mechanical design. Professional qualification required. Senior-level position within the design team, working under team leadership to deliver cutting-edge data centre projects for major technology clients in Ireland and internationally. Strong communication skills, representingthe companyin client meetings as part of the design team. Proven ability to lead projects, take direction from project leads, and manage assigned deliverables effectively. Skilled in balancing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and delegating tasks appropriately. Excellent report-writing skills with the ability to clearly explain complex engineering issues. Strong knowledge of HVAC and building control systems. Experience in plumbing and drainage design preferred. Commitment to mentoring and developing junior and intermediate engineers. Ongoing training and mentorship provided, with a clear pathway to progress into a leadership role within the Data Centre team. Key Responsibilities : Lead the design of mechanical building services for projects in the data centre sector. Oversee team development and workload to maximise productivity. Apply deep technical expertise to support effective decision-making and problem-solving. Build strong client relationships, ensuring solutions are tailored to client needs. Interpret and manage contract terms to control scope and maintain project integrity. Delegate tasks strategically to maximise value and engagement across the team. Report progress to the Group Management Team, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Maintain quality control, ensuring all deliverables meet required standards. Manage resources effectively to optimise project delivery. Champion a positive message both internally and externally to strengthen team morale and the companys reputation.
