Mechanical design engineer - north dublin

Pro Source Group are recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the delivery of mechanical systems in energy-conscious buildings across commercial, residential, institutional, and industrial sectors.

Youll play a pivotal role as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping push best practice and sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities Design mechanical systems including HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, water services, and hydronic layouts.

Perform equipment sizing, load calculations, thermal analysis, and system layouts.

Integrate mechanical systems with architectural and structural elements, coordinating with other disciplines.

Produce detailed mechanical drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Assist with site visits, inspections, and liaise during construction to resolve technical issues.

Support senior engineers and help mentor junior team members.

Stay abreast of new mechanical technologies, efficiency measures, and design standards.

Required Skills & Experience Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.

37 years experience in mechanical design within a building services consultancy.

Experience with design software (e.g.

Revit, Auto CAD, simulation / modelling tools).

Solid understanding of mechanical codes, standards, and regulations.

Strong analytical, coordination, and communication capabilities.

Self-motivated approach and able to work under supervision to deliver as part of a team.

Enthusiasm for sustainable, energy-efficient mechanical solutions.
