Senior Mechanical Engineer North Dublin

The Position

You will be responsible for delivering mechanical design work across projects from inception to completion.

Acting as the BIM Modelling Coordinator, you will apply advanced BIM modelling techniques to ensure seamless coordination between design and construction teams throughout the project life cycle.

As a key member of a well-established team of engineers and technicians, you will collaborate closely with colleagues from multiple disciplines, preparing and overseeing detailed engineering designs using industry-standard software.

This role offers the opportunity to work across diverse sectors—including education, commercial, healthcare, retail, and critical systems—while managing projects to meet financial and scheduling targets.

You will also play an active role in project and design meetings, leading discussions to ensure effective planning, resource allocation, and coordination.

Skills

A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, with proven experience in mechanical engineering within the building services sector.

5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically within building services.

Strong background in multidisciplinary coordination, with the ability to both lead and produce innovative design solutions, prepare specifications, CDM documentation, and project reports.

A passion for creative, intuitive design is essential.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to use initiative to resolve challenges effectively in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Proficiency in BIM, with experience in establishing BIM processes and protocols considered highly advantageous.
