Job Description – Logistics Coordinator
We are seeking an experienced, organised, committed, and enthusiastic Logistics Coordinator to join our clients team.
The ideal candidate will have :
- Expertise in warehousing, inventory management, and freight forwarding
- A strong understanding of supply chain processes, including common challenges and effective solutions

- Proficiency in using computers, WMS software, and other technology for inventory management and communication

- Driving License and own vehicle (Location and linited public transport)
Duties & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for planning, organising, and executing logistics support activities, including :
Stock managementOrder processing, fulfilment, and schedulingShipment planningExpediting freight consignments to successful completionUpdating transactions on our Warehouse Management SystemAccruing costs and pricing jobsFurther responsibilities include :
Expediting the movement of goods and services to maximise value and minimise costsCoordinating the availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished productsCollaborating with other departments to meet customer requirements, seize sales opportunities, or minimise the impact of shortagesBuilding and encouraging mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team membersSetting goals and plans to prioritise, organise, and complete work effectivelyMaking decisions and solving problems through data analysis, verification, and evaluation of resultsSupporting team activities by establishing priorities, scheduling and tracking assignments, providing guidance, and ensuring resources are availableCommunicating effectively with supervisors, peers, and subordinates, while developing and maintaining positive working relationshipsImplementing plans and schedules in line with our Quality Management and Health & Safety policiesProtecting and controlling proprietary materialsUnderstanding customers’ needs and taking action to ensure they are metMaintaining and developing strong business relationships with key customer personnelMonitoring and evaluating subcontractor activities, reviewing proposals and performance specifications, and liaising with service providersCoordinating with transportation providers to ensure prompt and efficient movement of shipmentsResponding to customer enquiries and directing them to the appropriate channelsReviewing purchase orders and shipping documents for accuracyMaking special shipping arrangements where requiredTracking and resolving shipping errorsPreparing bills and invoicesEnsuring that all services meet required quality standardsDeveloping and improving processes to make the supply chain more efficient and organised
