Supermac's Ireland Ltd are currently seeking highly skilled and passionate Asian Wok Head Chefs to join our dynamic team for its new culinary experience with Mama Rich.

Mama Rich is renowned for authentic, vibrant Asian street food and takes pride in providing exceptional dining experiences inspired by the flavours of Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, Vietnam, and beyond.

This is an exciting opportunity for talented chefs who are passionate about authentic Asian cuisine and eager to bring their creativity and expertise to a vibrant and growing brand.

Role Overview

As Asian Wok Head Chef, you will play a leading role in shaping the kitchen's culinary identity, specialising in wok techniques and authentic Asian sauces.

You will oversee the preparation of signature dishes, ensure quality and consistency across menus, and train junior chefs to excel in authentic Asian cuisine.

This is a strategic position for someone with deep expertise in Asian street food and the leadership skills to guide a high-performing kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and execution of high-quality Asian wok dishes, ensuring authentic flavours and presentation.

Develop, refine, and execute menus inspired by Nonya, Malay, Thai, Korean, and Vietnamese street food traditions.

Prepare, test, and perfect a wide range of traditional Asian sauces central to our brand identity.

Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Maintain consistency in portioning, cooking standards, and presentation across all dishes.

Manage stock levels, ordering, and ingredient rotation with efficiency to minimize waste.

Ensure strict compliance with HACCP and food hygiene regulations at all times.

Collaborate with management to design and roll out seasonal menus, specials, and promotions.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum 5 years of professional experience specialising in Asian wok cooking.

Proven expertise in Nonya, Malay, Thai, Korean, and Vietnamese street food.

Strong background in developing and executing authentic Asian sauces.

Fluent in English and Cantonese.

Strong leadership, organisational, and mentoring skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.

Excellent knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and hygiene practices.
