Role summary
We are seeking a Technical Business & Systems Analyst to support process, systems, and compliance initiatives.
The role combines strong business analysis skills with systems analysis expertise, focusing on documenting processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring alignment with the SDLC and ISO 27001 requirements.
The successful candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, IT teams, and compliance functions, ensuring that processes are efficient, requirements are clear, and solutions are well-designed and secure.
This role will report directly to the practice team manager and will work closely with our client to ensure our clients goals and objectives are met.
Responsibilities
Analyse, document, and map business and system processes, workflows, and procedures.
Conduct systems analysis to understand current applications, data flows, and integration points.
Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements, leveraging technology and automation where appropriate.
Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring alignment with SDLC phases.
Support solution design by collaborating with developers, architects, and testing teams.
Ensure process and system documentation supports ISO 27001 compliance and security best practice.
Produce high-quality deliverables, including process maps, requirements specifications, user stories, use cases, and procedural documentation.
Facilitate workshops and requirements gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, processes, and documentation standards.
Technical Requirements
Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Technical BA.
Strong skills in process mapping, systems analysis, and requirements documentation.
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Familiarity with ISO 27001 or other information security frameworks.
Proficiency with tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.
Excellent communication skills — able to engage both business and technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
Additional skills
Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
Knowledge of risk management, data governance, or information security practices.
Relevant certifications in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or ISO 27001 (advantageous).
