Overview
As a Business Analyst you will be part of the Tasman Change Team and will be responsible for requirements definition and change request management.
What will you be doing?
Collating, understanding and documenting business requirements for change requests, or reviewing same from third parties
Creating clear and concise user stories with acceptance criteria to guide the development team
Analyzing and documenting both current (As Is) and proposed (To Be) business processes from an operational and system perspective
Process mapping and re-engineering to create efficiencies
Presenting business benefits and articulating requirements at all levels including Senior Management
Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and clients to manage expectations and ensure alignment
Liaising between the development team and the business
Gathering requirements and creating spike / change requests from incidents and errors
Ensuring that deliverables and documentation meet Mars Capital Change Delivery Model standards
Participating in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Assisting in the development of test plans and performing user acceptance testing where required to ensure solutions meet business needs
Qualifications
Expertise
8+ years experience in Business Analysis / Requirements Gathering and Business Change roles, ideally in Financial Services
Experience in Financial Services and specifically Mortgages, Loans or Payment sectors
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with third-party clients
Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., DevOps, Confluence)
Exceptional documentation skills, with attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Experience and knowledge of creating in-depth User Acceptance Criteria
Strong understanding of financial controls and risk
Demonstrable experience working on operational and technology process analysis and design
Proficient in the use of Visio or equivalent process mapping solutions
Process identification and mapping
Knowledge of waterfall and agile development methods
Proven stakeholder management experience, able to facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders at multiple levels in an organisation

Complexity : The systems are complex in their level of interconnectivity; architectural and logical decisions often require thorough refinement before implementation
Influence : Excellent interpersonal skills to attend meetings with users at different levels and participate in reviews of code releases where database development requirements were in-scope
Resource : Largely independent work; senior members guide more junior team members and align development with Mars practices
Other : Ability to prioritize tasks; good communication; adaptability to changing business needs; ability to ask in-depth questions and accurately record responses; willingness to work as part of a developing team
