This role is 35 hours per week and requires the successful candidate to cover onsite IT support.
This position is located at Saint John of God Hospital, Stillorgan, and is an onsite IT support role for hospital staff.
Due to the nature and purpose of the role, there is no option for remote work at this time.
Minimum 3 years' experience in IT Support or Cyber Security roles. Provide 1st and 2nd line support to all IT users to ensure reported problems are resolved effectively and efficiently. Manage system and application software daily. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and related technologies including Intune, Conditional Access, and Entra ID. Network hardware management including Switches, Firewalls, and Wireless Networks. Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and frameworks (ISO27001, NIST, OWASP). Exposure to patching and vulnerability management tools is advantageous. Troubleshoot system software issues with hospital staff and security officers.
Liaise with external support companies as necessary. Troubleshoot hardware issues with Desktop PCs, Laptops, Tablets, and Local and MFP Printers. Essential Qualifications : Formal qualification in IT / Computer Science or relevant field such as BSc / BA / Diploma / equivalent in an ICT subject (MCSE, CNE, CCNA, and ComptiA) desirable. Minimum 3 years' experience in IT Support or Cyber Security Roles. Experience of working in a healthcare environment. Experience with security technologies such as SIEM and IDS / IPS and familiarity with cybersecurity standards and frameworks (ISO27001, NIST, OWASP). Experience of monitoring and investigating threats with internal security teams and external SOC. Experience of patch and vulnerability management processes to maintain security posture. Disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP). Procurement and asset management of IT equipment.
