We are working with a leading construction company who are looking for a Buyer / Procurement specialist to support their Civils projects.
This is a really exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to work for a company who provide complex projects to clients across Europe.

Responsibilities
Creation and management of purchase orders – both subcontract and materials, for Construction, Civils and Engineering goods, works and services.
Liaising with site to book in deliveries
Place material, plant and equipment orders
On / Off hiring of plant and equipment
Liaising with yard to manage materials, plant and equipment
Vendor onboarding – issue and collate relevant paperwork using both internal and external systems to add suppliers and subcontractors on to the database
Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers
Strategic approach to sourcing new suppliers, negotiating best price, lead time whilst continually monitoring performance
Vetting existing supply chain to ensure the company is attaining best value for money
Negotiate terms and conditions including pricing, delivery schedules and payment terms
Source and procure equipment and materials according to project specifications and production requirements
Assess potential suppliers, for quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness
Analyse pricing and data
Resolve any issues regarding shortages and quality
Work closely with Project Managers, Technical and Cost Management teams to ensure procurement activities are timely
Support data analysis and reporting objectives of the Procurement team
Identify and implement ongoing areas of improvement
Requirements / Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have buying / procurement experience within Civil projects and wanting to work for a leading company.
