Purpose of Role : We are seeking an ambitious Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Dublin-based team.
The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise and proven experience across all phases of mechanical engineering projects, including design, construction, and implementation.
This role requires a commitment to safety, high-quality standards, and exceptional client satisfaction, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
Represent the project team at client design and progress meetings and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
Familiarise design specifications and drawings to understand project scope, ensuring compliance with requirements and adherence to the project schedule.
Design review of drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure compliance with the specification standards and industry best practice.
Ensure works are installed in accordance with project specifications and client requirements.
Develop engineering solutions as required, including detailed calculations and sketches for client approval.
Review coordinated construction drawings.
Review updated design specifications and drawings, identify scope and cost variances, and communicate these to relevant stakeholders.
Manage procurement processes including technical submittals and procurement schedules.
Detailed review of specialist supplier packages for compliance with project specification, industry standards and design intent.
Prepare project-specific commissioning plan.
Review BCAR preliminary inspection plan and coordinate with the quality team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
4+ years' experience in similar industry is desirable
Strong technical proficiency in mechanical engineering principles, design tools, and software
Excellent project management and diagnostic skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to make decisions under pressure and work to strict deadlines
Understanding of relevant regulations and safety standards in mechanical engineering
