This is a challenging and fulfilling role where, as a Strategy Planning & Performance Manager within a Group Strategy & Performance Function, you have the opportunity to work in a high-performance environment, delivering key strategic initiatives at the forefront of the executive agenda and developing, measuring and reporting on the bank's strategic direction through the application of world-class managing-for-value tools and techniques. Responsibilities : Strategy Performance Reviews Lead the planning, coordination and execution of cross-functional Strategy Performance Reviews to monitor the execution of the strategy and performance against plan, ensuring teams across the organisation are appropriately equipped to engage in the SPR process. Organise and co-ordinate Value Stream and KPI owners to present performance against plan to SLT and ExCo audiences bi-annually, tracking progress over time. KPI Development, Tracking and Oversight Lead ongoing KPI tracking, analysis and reporting to inform the design and development of Strategy and Performance KPIs for the 3 year Integrated Strategic Plan, with proactive engagement with SLT and KPI owners across the bank Lead the development and delivery of a productionised Strategy KPI dashboard with Data & Analytics teams and cross functional stakeholders Strategic Planning Process (`SPP?) Lead the coordination of the annual multi-year Strategic Planning Process & development of consolidated 3-year Integrated Strategic Plan to the standards set out in the `SPP? Playbook Lead the management, iteration and annual approval through governance of the `SPP? Playbook across cross-functional stakeholders to ensure it remains fit for purpose Organic & Inorganic Strategy Development Lead the tracking and monitoring of strategic analysis, documenting market, competitor and customer trends and identifying potential opportunities and threats to, as well as implications for, PTSB. Lead the design and development of defined Future Strategy Project Portfolio initiatives that challenge the status quo in how we do things, through : our products; customer servicing processes; use of vendors; and, M&A opportunities, in order to drive improved performance within and beyond the plan. Team development and leadership Act as People Manager to Strategy Analyst(s), overseeing the delivery of their work and acting as their point of escalation on the team. Provide leadership and training, as required, and conduct their annual Performance Management including regular 1 : 1 meetings Constructively challenge peers and senior stakeholders and input to strategic planning and performance by leveraging best practice research and subject matter expertise Promote strategic thinking and a culture of continuous strategy execution Promote a culture of strategic decision making and a culture of continuous execution of the bank's strategic direction throughout the Group Strategy & Performance and across the wider bank Support the Strategy Planning Senior Manager and Strategy Performance Senior Manager with the ongoing prioritisation and delivery of key projects and initiatives across both areas to maximise team capability and capacity across the planning cycle Requirements : 5+ years post third level qualification professional business experience Excellent critical thinking and analytical abilities, with good working knowledge of analytical tools and techniques Strong project management skills ? ability to manage other and deliver in a fast paced, changing environment. Excellent communication, organisation and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work on own initiative and manage a wide range of activities in parallel. Genuine passion for delivering high quality Strategy work and ambition to both learn and grow in the role, and to develop others Good understanding of and experience in applying strategic concepts and frameworks Willing and able to effectively challenge internal and external obstacles. Self-starter who has the ability to create networks around a large organisation and to deliver results through cross-functional teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting high priority messages to SLT audiences.
