Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor Building / Fit Out Contractor Location : Dublin Salary : Up to €75,000 (Dependent on Experience) A well-established Building / Fit-Out Contractor based in Dublin is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to take a leadership position, contributing directly to the delivery of high-value building projects. Key Responsibilities : Manage contract administration to ensure compliance with client agreements and project requirements. Prepare, review, and submit interim valuations, progress claims, and final account documentation. Collaborate with Site and Project Managers to track progress, identify variations, and quantify additional work. Work with Contracts Managers to verify that all claims and submissions are accurate and complete. Ensure timely issuance of valuations and invoices to maintain healthy project cash flow. Produce detailed financial reports and updates for the Commercial Manager regarding project performance. Negotiate and liaise with subcontractors, clients, and their representatives on commercial and contractual matters. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior QS staff, promoting efficient processes and best practices. Candidate Requirements : Strong leadership and team management abilities. Third-level qualification (Degree or Diploma) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field. Minimum of 810 years experience in quantity surveying, preferably with a building contractor. Excellent analytical, reporting, and IT skills, with familiarity using project costing or QS software. Demonstrated ability to manage high-value projects and deliver accurate commercial results.
