We are seeking a Configuration Manager

to support a major national rail infrastructure program focused on enhancing safety and efficiency.

This role is key to managing system configurations and change control within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring compliance and consistency across all project phases.

Responsibilities :

Define, implement, and maintain the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) in line with ISO 10007, CENELEC EN 50126 / 50128 / 50129, and project-specific requirements.

Oversee configuration identification, baseline creation, version control, and configuration audits for all system components.

Manage the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and ensure alignment with as-built and as-deployed configurations.

Collaborate with engineering, safety, testing, procurement, and operational teams to control and track changes across all system elements.

Ensure rigorous change control by managing Change Requests (CRs), Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), and approval workflows.

Maintain traceability from system requirements through design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

Produce regular configuration status accounting reports for internal teams and for submission to the client.

Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards and contribute to Safety Case development and updates.

Support internal and external audits related to configuration and change management.

Lead the configuration management effort for integration of TPS with onboard and trackside equipment.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Minimum 10 years of professional experience in configuration management within large-scale infrastructure, rail, transportation, or safety-critical industries.

Proven experience in managing configuration and change control on rail signaling or transportation projects, ideally with exposure to ERTMS, ATP, or similar safety-critical systems.

Deep understanding of configuration standards, and rail safety standards including CENELEC (EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129).

Proficiency in configuration management tools such as IBM Rational, Polarion, PTC Windchill, or similar platforms.

Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.

Experience working on public sector bids or delivery of nationally significant infrastructure projects is highly desirable.

MS Office i.e. at least intermediate Excel and Word skills

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Willingness to travel as per business and client requirements
