Ehs Manager

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading manufacturing organisation on the appointment of an EHS Manager.

As the EHS Manager, you will take ownership of the site's Environment, Health & Safety strategy, ensuring compliance with legislation and company standards while promoting a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement across all operations.

In your new role : Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of site-wide EHS management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards Act as the site's key liaison with local health & safety authorities and regulators, supporting inspections, audits and compliance activities Oversee hazard identification, risk assessments and incident investigations, driving corrective and preventive actions to completion Ensure statutory inspections and audits are carried out, recorded and communicated effectively across value streams Provide timely reporting to senior management on safety performance, environmental compliance and incident statistics in line with KPIs Deliver training sessions, workshops and awareness programmes to engage employees and strengthen the site safety culture Support and facilitate continuous improvement and lean initiatives, integrating EHS into productivity and technical improvement projects Coordinate contractor management and ensure adherence to site policies, safe systems of work and regulatory requirements Drive a collaborative approach to safety across departments, embedding a safety-first culture and strengthening employee accountability What you will need to succeed : Relevant degree in Environmental, Health & Safety (or equivalent) 3+ years' experience in an EHS management role within manufacturing or engineering Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards Demonstrable ability to influence, collaborate and engage teams at all levels Excellent communication and reporting skills Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't) : Additional EHS certifications Experience managing regulatory inspections and liaising with authorities Strong leadership skills with the ability to promote continuous improvement initiatives For a more detailed brief and a confidential conversation on how Vickerstock can help support you with your next move, get in touch with Sam Geddis, our Health and Safety Specialist today.
