This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced nurse leader to take on a key role, driving the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care in a supportive and progressive environment. About the role : As Director of Nursing, youll have overall responsibility for clinical standards and governance, ensuring residents receive safe, dignified, and holistic care. Youll provide leadership to the nursing and care teams, manage resources effectively, and foster a culture of compassion, respect, and professional development. Key responsibilities will include : Leading, mentoring, and supporting the nursing and care teams. Overseeing all aspects of clinical governance, regulatory compliance, and resident safety. Developing and maintaining individualised care plans in line with best practice. Building positive relationships with residents, families, and external partners. Driving continuous improvement and quality initiatives across the home. Managing staffing, budgets, and resources efficiently to support excellent care delivery. Whats required : NMBI registered General Nurse with a management qualification. Minimum 3 years experience in a senior nursing management role (ADON / DON level). Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations and best practice in residential care. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. A passion for person-centred care and staff development.
