Job Description
Deerpark Montessori School in Howth is looking to recruit an Early Years Educator, preferably with a Montessori qualification.
The position is to work in a spacious room with children ranging in age from 2 years and 6 months to 5 years. Start date : 26th of August 2024.
Part-time permanent position working 20 hours a week,
4 mornings a week from 8.15am to 1.15pm Monday to Thursday.
School, term-time based, runs from late August to June end each year.
Deerpark Montessori School is a beautiful location, very close to public transport with both a dart station and a bus stop in very close proximity.

Roles and Responsibilities
Job requirements include assisting in the day to day running of the class. Support children, to ensure their individual needs are identified and met. Planning and implementing the Aistear curriculum and Siolta standards. Observe and record observations of assigned children.
Schedule activities and crafts.
Comply with established policies and procedures, creating an environment of best practices. Communicating with parents.
The successful candidate must have
Applicants must have a minimum QQI level 6 in Childcare, level 7 or 8 preferable. Competitive salary dependent on experience and qualifications. (QQI 7 & QQI 8, also First aid, manual handling, fire safety, food safety and child protection will be valuable.)
Applicants must have a love of working with young children and be passionate and dedicated in their work, a strong work ethic is essential.
