What you'll do Join Viasat as a Technical Support Engineer in the Advertising Operations team supporting Viasat's world class in-flight advertising and internet services! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the flawless operation of Viasat's Advertising and In-flight Internet services for our valued passengers, airlines and partners. You will work with closely with internal engineering and product teams as well as external vendors. The day-to-day We use end-to-end monitoring to ensure smooth running of our services Work use Jira for ticket and incident management We work with internal teams and external vendors to assist with open issues and incidents We craft custom utilities to automate tasks and improve the team's efficiency We performing ad-hoc data analysis across a variety of databases and data sources We deploy airline in-flight services and configurations to on-site hardware for testing We work in Salesforce and Kevel to support the Advertising and Sales teams What you'll need Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Superb communication and teamwork skills. Proven knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, and JSON. Proficient in using Linux systems and working in a command line interface Ability to script for task automation, preferably with PHP. Ability to query SQL databases such as MySQL and Snowflake. Proficient in solving problems with web-based applications and systems, familiar with web browser console / developer tools. What will help you on the job Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving, and incident management abilities. Experience in operational support and managing incidents involving external partners and internal teams Quick learner with a deep understanding of complex, interdependent systems. Capability to analyse and integrate data from various sources, including logs, databases, and API responses from third-party applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
