About the roleWhat you need to know : We are seeking a Recoveries Technician to handle our Recoveries portfolio of personal & commercial claims to efficiently and cost effectively handle; negotiate and accurately recover claims costs.

The role will ensure mitigation of exposure while communicating developments and outcomes as necessary to all key internal and external stakeholders whilst providing a high standard of customer service and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Identify and pursue opportunities for recovery / subrogation / salvage across multiple lines of business.Review assigned claim files to determine if recovery is feasible by investigating and evaluating liability issues according to Best Practice / Procedural guidelinesCoordinate investigations with expert witnesses to review the adequacy of the investigationCorresponds with appropriate parties (experts, attorney's, claims professionals) in accordance with established procedures regarding claim information, notice / demand of payment and related issuesPreparation and case summary for legal representatives, to expediate their review, agreeing next steps of recovery and tactics throughout litigationDevelop great working relationship with all stakeholdersPrepare activity reports for files above authorityAccurately identify and record all financial impact for cases managed within recovery systemWhat we're looking for : Multiple years of experience in recoveries or claims handlingProactive team player with excellent organisational skills and attention to detailAbility to work with stakeholders to effectively direct recovery strategyStrong analytical problem solving and communications skills both verbal and writtenKnowledge of legal / regulatory and litigation / procedural requirementsStrive for continuous improvement on claim file handling with feedback and support through the Quality Assurance Review processesAbility to work to tight deadlines when necessaryExperience with various database systems an advantageAt AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office.
