About the role

What you need to know :

We are seeking a Recoveries Technician to handle our Recoveries portfolio of personal &mercial claims to efficiently and cost effectively handle; negotiate and accurately recover claims costs. The role will ensure mitigation of exposure whilemunicating developments and oues as necessary to all key internal and external stakeholders whilst providing a high standard of customer service and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

• Identify and pursue opportunities for recovery / subrogation / salvage across multiple lines of business.
• Review assigned claim files to determine if recovery is feasible by investigating and evaluating liability issues according to Best Practice / Procedural guidelines
• Coordinate investigations with expert witnesses to review the adequacy of the investigation
• Corresponds with appropriate parties (experts, attorney's, claims professionals) in accordance with established procedures regarding claim information, notice / demand of payment and related issues
• Preparation and case summary for legal representatives, to expediate their review, agreeing next steps of recovery and tactics throughout litigation
• Develop great working relationship with all stakeholders
• Prepare activity reports for files above authority
• Accurately identify and record all financial impact for cases managed within recovery system
