Finishing Manager - Data Centre - West Dublin

Your new company

Your new organisation is a main building contractor operating out of Dublin and with over 15 active projects around the greater Leinster area, mainly in and around Dublin.

A lot of these projects consist of high-end residential apartments (150–650 units), Data Centres and high-end commercial space.

They are renowned as one of the best contractors in the industry and have a pipeline of work for the next 5+ years due to their ongoing residential and data centre presence.

They are in a period of constant expansion, and require several finishing managers and section managers across several of their build projects.

Your new role

Your new role is on a West Dublin data centre to assist with the finishing stages of the project - and look to move onto another project thereafter.

There are currently several requirements across different locations for finishing managers across all areas of Dublin. The projects are mainly large mixed-use developments, apartments and data centres. These positions can either be paid on an hourly basis or on a direct salary - See details below .As a Finishing Foreman, you will be required to demonstrate capability and experience in dealing with and managing on challenging projects. This position is for an ambitious, experienced carpenter / foreman looking to progress their career. You will have excellent communication skills with a proven record of working and managing (be it small teams) on projects within the Irish / UK construction industry. You will be responsible for delivering projects on time, on budget and to the highest quality and safety standards.You will be supported in your role by other management members within the organisation and career progression is very available. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established main contractor with a pipeline of works for the next several years.

What you'll need to succeed

• In order to be successful in this position, you must have previously been in a management position with a construction contractor. This can be as a lead carpenter or working foreman, for example.
• You must have prior management experience on site of subcontractors for internal works / facade OR groundworks.
• Coming from a carpentry trade background is advantageous but not essential.
• This role will suit a long-time carpenter / working foreman or someone experienced in a Foreman / Finishing position over the last number of years.

What you'll get in return

In return for the above, you will work for a main construction contractor who values their employees and offers a clear progression path to more senior management levels. They have a great reputation within the industry and have very strong senior management in place - delivering high-profile projects. You will be paid either by the hour or on a salary .

Hourly rates are in a bracket of €30 to €40 per hour (typically 45-50 hour weeks - good money to be made). This would include PAYE OR Self-Employed setup. This would also include time and a half etc. €80,000-€100,000 on hourly rates for time worked per year

In terms of the offered salary, this would be in the region of €70,000 to €80,000 and would come with a vehicle / trip. Pension and additional benefits are usually offered in packages of this type.
