The Opportunity
The role will further develop Grant Thornton’s Life insurance footprint whilst also contributing to the broader growth of the overall practice. The work will be both challenging and varied exposing you to leading-edge actuarial work in a strategic, commercial and business context and allowing you to develop an impressive range of broad consulting and technical skills that will enhance your career, with a culture of focusing on having fun in your role. You will lead a culture of collaboration and collegiality, in a high-energy environment, where you can work from home as often as you like.
Key requirements will be a strong knowledge of any of these – IFRS17 / EBS / BSCR / USGAAP / Solvency II – with reinsurance, climate risk, capital optimisation, process improvement or quantitative / qualitative risk experience an added advantage.
Examples of consulting projects include Subject Matter Expert review, climate risk, peer reviews, international projects (from Dublin), pricing, market entry, risk, Strategic Asset Allocation, secondment (so a wide variety, depending on what the client wants) and international market research.
