About the Job A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Lead to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations while supporting and supervising a small team. This is a hands-on role covering the full finance function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all processes. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties : Leading and supporting the finance team in day-to-day activities Managing purchase, sales, and nominal ledgers Overseeing payroll, invoicing, supplier payments, credit control, and expenses Managing month-end close including pre-payments, accruals, and management accounts Preparing VAT returns, reconciliations, and financial reports for management Acting as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and external advisors Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow monitoring Recommending and implementing process or system improvements Your Skills & Experience Qualified (ATI / ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or minimum 3 years relevant finance / accounts experience Strong technical knowledge of finance operations and month-end reporting Experience with Sage or similar accounting software, plus strong Excel skills Hands-on approach, able to balance operational tasks with team supervision For further information on this opportunity or if you are considering the next step in your career get in touch with Daryl Hunter at HireIQ in complete confidence.
