Building Services Project Engineer

We are currently seeking a Building Services Project Engineer - Capital Projects to join our client's team at a leading FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) site based in Waterford. This is a 12-month contract position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-performing capital project function. THE ROLE :

• Deliver various building services projects from initiation to handover, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, chilled water, purified water, and electrical systems.
• Manage all EHS requirements throughout the full life cycle of each project.
• Develop User Requirements for systems by engaging with operations, EHS, maintenance, utilities, technical, and quality teams to ensure proposed solutions are suitable.
• Lead Constructability Reviews, Design Reviews, and Risk Assessments during the design phase.
• Identify project issues and develop mitigation plans.
• Provide input into IFT / IFC packages and assist with the procurement process.
• Supervise and manage contractors throughout the construction stage.
• Participate in engineering team initiatives as required.
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with company quality, engineering, and EHS standards. REQUIREMENTS :
• 8+ years project engineering / management experience with a degree in Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer qualification is an advantage but not essential.
• NEBOSH International Construction Safety (or equivalent) is an advantage but not essential.
• Experience delivering projects of a similar type and scale within a regulated / GMP environment.
• Strong understanding and application of engineering principles, industry practices, and standards.
• Ability to resolve moderately complex to semi-routine problems and identify deviations from accepted practice.
• Knowledge and application of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
