Capital Project Engineer - Construction

We are currently seeking a Capital Project Engineer - Construction to join our client's team at a leading FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) site based in Waterford. This is a 12-month contract position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-performing capital project function. THE ROLE :

• Deliver various facility / building / construction-related upgrade projects from initiation to handover.
• Manage all EHS requirements throughout the full life cycle of each project.
• Lead Constructability Reviews, Design Reviews, and Risk Assessments during the design phase.
• Provide input into IFT / IFC packages and assist with the procurement process.
• Supervise and manage contractors throughout the construction stage.
• Identify core project issues and develop mitigation plans.
• Participate in engineering team initiatives as required.
• Ensure compliance with company quality, engineering, and EHS standards throughout all phases of project delivery. REQUIREMENTS :
• 8+ years project engineering / management experience with a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer qualification is an advantage but not essential.
• NEBOSH International Construction Safety (or equivalent) is an advantage but not essential.
• Experience working on similar scale projects within a Regulated / GMP environment.
• Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Utility Systems.
