The Role We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will work closely with the Senior Finance Manager and wider finance team, supporting the full finance function across management reporting, financial control, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring previous Irish experience in a B2B environment within a scaling organisation and will have demonstrable experience in working with external auditors. This is a hands-on role suited to a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic SME environment and enjoys balancing day-to-day operational finance with process improvements and compliance responsibilities. Responsibilities & Accountabilities Financial Accountabilities : ? Support the Senior Finance Manager in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records. Assist with the management of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes alongside the finance team. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Support year-end and interim audits, acting as a key contact point for external auditors. Assist with compliance with all internal controls, statutory, and tax obligations. Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes and implement best practices. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support to the Senior Finance Manager and wider leadership team. Communicate actual versus budget results to key internal and external stakeholders. Partner with other departments and assist them in achieving their objectives through financial insights and analysis.? Ensure effective communication within the team and with other departments. Essential Experience : Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent). Minimum 2 years PQE in a Financial Accountant or similar role within Ireland. Strong background in B2B finance within a scaling or SME environment. Previous experience in managing and supporting external audits is essential. Excellent working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance. Strong systems proficiency (experience with accounting / ERP software, Excel). High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
