Trainee IT Technician

Description

To provide IT technical support to employees across the different departments and sites of the organisation. Reporting to the IT Service Delivery Engineer they will also be involved in the roll-out and implementation of new services.

Who you are

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

• 3rd Level Qualification in Information Technology NFQ Level 6 or equivalent
• At least one of the following certifications : A+, Network +, MTA Networking Fundamentals, MTA Security Fundamentals
• At least 1 years’ post qualification experience
• Strong knowledge of MS networking technologies – Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
• Strong knowledge of Exchange / Outlook
• Some experience administrating switches, firewalls and routers
• Knowledge of VPN& WAN technologies advantageous
• PBX & VOIP technologies an advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong use of initiative
• Demonstrate the ability to plan and organise
• High degree of flexibility
• Good problem solver and decision maker
