This position is ideal for someone with a background in loans, cards, and day-to-day customer service within a retail banking or credit union setting, looking to transition into a specialist application support role within a dynamic PaaS company. This role is focused on supporting a comprehensive financial software suite used by financial institutions across Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK. The platform includes functionality for savings, loans, card services, document management, and more. Initially focused on telephone support, the position offers a strong progression path into software installation, user training, and client project involvement. Candidates coming from a banking or credit union background will find their operational knowledge highly transferable, especially if they have handled loan processing, card services, or general banking system use. This role allows for a smooth shift into financial technology without requiring a technical background. Responsibilities : Deliver B2B first-line support to financial services clients over the phone, focusing on loan, card, and transaction modules Investigate and resolve user issues, ensuring compliance with agreed service level agreements (SLAs) Manage support tickets via a centralised system, maintaining accurate records and timely updates Escalate complex or system-related issues internally, while keeping clients informed throughout Support system installations and module configurations as experience builds Provide user training, remotely or in-person, across the core software and specific modules Liaise with Web and Technical Support teams to ensure smooth problem resolution and service delivery Requirements : Experience working in a retail banking or credit union environment, with a focus on loans and card services Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in plain language Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working as part of a team Solid financial problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail Exposure to financial systems or card processing platforms is advantageous Interest in transitioning to a support or implementation role in financial technology Training and Development : Full training is provided on the software platform and its key modules. As your familiarity grows, youll be trained on installation procedures and advanced system functions, supporting your development into a client-facing implementation role.
