Job description

Our client, an Engineering consultancy firm are seeking a proactive Credit Controller to join our Finance team, responsible for managing the entire Debtors function (over 1.5 million worth of collections monthly), from invoicing through to collection—and ensuring our records and billing processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Financial Director, you will :

Drive collections via telephone and email to meet credit terms and targetsMonitor and reduce debtor days, producing daily credit reports and handling any remaining manual lodgementsManage the full invoicing cycle : inputting invoices into Sage 50, issuing monthly statements, and coordinating dispatchPerform daily, weekly, and month-end reconciliationsAdhere to strict deadlines for invoice discounting and monthly reportingGenerate additional management reports to integrate costs into our project-management system and support the Company Accountant with month-end account preparationLiaise with clients and engineers to resolve queries promptly and facilitate paymentLead the weekly Debtors meeting with directors and senior staff, providing updates and gathering feedbackCollaborate with the wider team to meet all deadlines and occasionally assist other areas of the Accounts department as neededRequirements 3–4 years' credit-control experience in professional services or a similar industryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented with strong numerical aptitudeAble to build positive relationships with clients and internal teamsTenacious but professional approach to cash collectionA collaborative team player who contributes positively to a dedicated grouProficient in Microsoft Office suiteExperience with Sage 50 and Core time Project Management System (or similar)Salary & Benefits : Competitive salary of €40,000 – €45,000 (DOE)5% matched pension contributionsGenerous annual leave (23 days plus service recognition days)Hybrid working after six monthsTax Saver & Bike to Work schemesAnnual professional-subscription fees coveredWellbeing support, including access to an independent Employee Assistance ProgrammeA diverse, inclusive culture that prioritizes employee wellnessA vibrant social calendar, organized by our Company Social CommitteeOngoing technical training and development opportunitiesIf you're passionate about credit control and looking to join a dynamic, supportive team, feel free to reach out to Katie Garvey for a confidential chat.
