Our client is seeking a highly motivated self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving expertise, capable of leveraging contemporary technologies and exercising sound independent technical judgment within a dynamic, agile environment. The successful candidate will be an accomplished engineer with proven experience in integrating financial considerations into technical decision-making. Requirements for the role : Honours degree. 10+ years recognised expert within the sector (electrical engineering & data centres or industrial, high-tech & commercial) 3+ years' experience in people management. 3+ years' project management experience (overseeing both electrical & mechanical engineering projects) Skilled at building productive relationships at every organizational level. Passionate about driving innovation and leveraging new technologies. Duties : Review the technical designs to confirm alignment with scope and full understanding of requirements. Drive improvements in functionality and cost efficiency across projects. Facilitate strong collaboration between Mechanical & Electrical teams. Lead a high-performing team, championing QA / QC standards and meeting project deadlines. Monitor project costs and introduce innovative solutions to reduce expenses. Support effective resource management, including outsourcing when required. Interpret and apply contract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with project parameters. Advise senior management on emerging industry trends and new products. Contribute to business development by assisting with procurement in collaboration with senior management. Communicate effectively with external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, partners, and vendors. Build and maintain strong relationships with external business associates. Contribute to the development of Quality Assurance procedures. Manage the successful delivery of multiple large-scale projects. Oversee team development through regular one-to-one meetings and ongoing feedback. Mentor junior team members and implement improvement plans for underperformance.
