Job Title : Senior Actuarial Analyst Location : Dublin Working Model : Hybrid - 2 days in office Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our client, a leading non-life insurer.

This is a key role within their actuarial team, focusing primarily on reserving, IFRS17 and Solvency II, while also contributing to pricing support and process development.

The ideal candidate will bring strong non-life reserving experience, a collaborative approach, and the ability to act as a bridge between the actuarial team and senior management.

This is an opportunity to take on an informal team leadership role, helping to rebuild and strengthen the team culture.

Your Role Lead the production of Solvency II Technical Provisions, refining models, analysing movements, and setting assumptions.

Oversee the production of IFRS17 cashflows, calibrating model assumptions and parameters.

Contribute to the design, development, and automation of reserving processes, ideally using R.

Support the business with pricing analysis and assist in the development of pricing tools.

Manage reserving data processes, including reconciliation, maintenance, and reporting for management, group, and audit.

Prepare and maintain documentation for new and existing models.

Provide informal leadership within the team, acting as a link between team members and senior management.

Engage in broader actuarial tasks beyond core responsibilities, contributing to the team's adaptability and success.

Your Skills Strong non-life background with ideally 4+ years' actuarial reserving experience.

Fully qualified actuary or significantly progressed with exams (candidates with strong practical experience and without full qualification will be considered).

Experience with IFRS17 modelling and implementation; knowledge of Solvency II Technical Provisions desirable.

Proven ability in programming, preferably R and / or VBA.

Strong Excel skills, with proficiency in MS Word and Power Point.

Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative, with the ability to work beyond a narrow scope.

Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across teams.
