Job description

We have an requirement with our consultancy client to go on site lead the design and implementation of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions. The role will involve planning, testing and improving current DR / BC plans. The end client site operates both on premises and Azure based estates across a large number of sites in Ireland. The environment is a relatively complex one, in addition to the Cloud systems there is also a key ERP platform as well as vendors and outsourced Managed Service companies providing key services. The role will involve engaging with Function / Business Unit owners to ensure DR / BC plans are fit for purpose and to take any necessary remedial steps to improve existing practices and policies as required. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing and running DR / BC Tests to an agreed schedule, including 3rd party vendors, to ensure preparedness across the entire business. We are looking to speak to experienced DR / BC professionals, capable of managing all the stakeholders and the complexity of the role but how retain strong skills. Were looking for people who have operated DR / BC at the enterprise level, including Data Centre failover testing. You will have a strong understanding of cloud technologies as well as experience on security frameworks like ISO 27001 / NIST2 as well as proven track record developing and implementing enterprise DR and BC in a comparable size organisation.
