Technical Support Engineer – Dublin 7 (3-Month Temporary Contract)
About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer for a 3-month fixed-term contract, with potential extension up to a year based on performance.
The role is onsite in Dublin 7, providing hands-on technical support to end users, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations.
Occasional support for satellite offices may be required.
The IT Support team works a 39-hour week (Monday to Friday) and participates in an on-call rota for critical systems outside normal hours.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first-line technical support to end users, resolving issues promptly.
Implement and support information security policies, including GDPR compliance.
Log and track incidents and service requests using the internal system.
Manage user accounts, including setup and password resets.
Support and troubleshoot in-house applications.
Coordinate with third-party vendors for support.
Monitor backup logs and escalate issues when necessary.
Escalate unresolved issues to higher support levels or external vendors.
Assist with basic printer support and escalate as needed.
Contribute to IT projects and initiatives.
Perform basic network troubleshooting and vulnerability monitoring.
Own ongoing technical issues to ensure resolution.

Skills and Experience
At least 2 years' experience in 1st line / technical support.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments (Windows 10 / XP, MS Office) and PC hardware.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks independently and in a team.
Fluent English, eligible to work in Ireland.
Experience in healthcare environment preferred.
Familiarity with Zebra printer configuration.
Microsoft certifications preferred.
Knowledge of network protocols, ITSM tools, and ticket systems.
Full clean Irish driving license.
