Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist - Tipperary & Laois Salary : €70,000 - €80,000 DOE | Full-time or Part-time | Contract Emerald Locums, on behalf of our client, is seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join a paediatric service in Tipperary and Laois.

This is a community-based role working with children and young people with a variety of developmental needs, offering flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Role Purpose The Senior Occupational Therapist will provide expert assessment and intervention for children with developmental, sensory, and functional needs.

The successful candidate will focus on enabling participation, promoting independence, and supporting families in everyday routines across home, school, and community environments.

Key Responsibilities Carry out comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for children and young people Develop and implement individualised care plans targeting sensory, motor, play, and self-care skills Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with SLTs, physiotherapists, psychologists, and other professionals Provide training, education, and support to parents, teachers, and caregivers Contribute to early intervention and school-aged services within the community Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with CORU and service standards Support service development, quality improvement, and team initiatives Supervise and mentor junior staff and students as required Requirements Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy CORU registration (essential) Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, with strong expertise in paediatric services Knowledge and experience in sensory integration, developmental delay, and family-centred practice Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development What's on Offer Competitive salary : €70,000 - €80,000 DOE Contract role with both full-time and part-time hours available Opportunity to specialise in paediatric and community-based OT services Supportive multidisciplinary team environment Ongoing CPD and professional development opportunities If you are an experienced Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist looking for a rewarding opportunity in Tipperary and Laois, we would love to hear from you.
