SQL Server DBA

My Dublin City Centre based client is recruiting for a Senior SQL DBA with strong Azure experience in managing and optimizing database environments both on-premises and in the cloud. This role is hands-on, with responsibility for performance, security, and reliability across SQL Server. This is initially a 6 month daily rate contract working on a hybrid model. Responsibilities Manage and support SQL Server databases in Azure and on-premises. Monitor, tune, and secure systems for maximum performance. Use PowerShell to automate and streamline tasks. Handle SSIS, SSRS, backups, and recovery. Troubleshoot issues quickly and prevent problems before they happen. Keep documentation clear and work closely with other teams. Keep up to date with latest trends on SQL Server and Azure best practices. Requirements A min of 5 years experience as a SQL Server DBA. Strong background with Azure SQL and cloud-based database services. Expertise in backup, recovery, high availability, and performance optimization. Knowledge with Azure services such as SQL Database and Data Factory. Understanding of Agile / DevOps practices.
