35 Hours per week

Specified Purpose Post

28 Hours per week

To maintain the highest attainable standards of personcentred care, to promote optimum independence and to enhance the quality of life of the Service User in all aspects of daily living. To assist and cooperate in the smooth running of the assigned area. To work directly with the Unit Head in identifying programmes / work and design activities suitable to the varying needs of the Service User.

Essential Requirements

Qualification

• Minimum Ordinary Degree (FETAC Level 7) in Applied Social Studies / Social Care, Nursing or recognised equivalent.
• Under the Health & Social Care Professional Act 2005 (amended) to regulate the profession of the Social Care Worker / Supervisor. There will be a requirement to register with CORU as a Social Care Worker / Supervisor within the required time frames to practice as a Social Care Worker (section 38 & section 91). E
