Senior Chargehand / Duty Manager

Hotel Duty Manager - 4-Star Hotel Location : County Kildare Type : Full-Time | 45 hours per week | 5 days over 7, including weekends and public holidays About the Role A busy and well-regarded 4-star hotel in County Kildare is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join their management team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key operational role within a thriving hospitality business that's part of a larger Irish-owned group with a strong footprint in both the hotel and retail sectors. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading teams, and is passionate about delivering great guest experiences. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel during duty shifts Ensure smooth coordination across all departments, particularly food & beverage Support a team of up to 40 staff during peak periods Take a hands-on approach to service delivery and problem-solving Assist in food & beverage service where needed to maintain high standards Monitor service levels and guest satisfaction throughout the shift Manage stock control and participate in regular stocktakes Support staff training and team development Contribute to the execution of internal sales initiatives in collaboration with the sales team Handle guest queries or issues professionally and efficiently Ensure compliance with health & safety and HACCP requirements Participate in regular duty management cover and ensure smooth handovers What You'll Need 2-3 years of experience in a similar hotel operations or duty management role (3
