Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable
Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist
to join our finance team.
This role is responsible for the end-to-end accounts payable process and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Specialist
Process end-to-end monthly payroll across multiple entities & jurisdictions, validating all data entry and ensuring the accurate, complete and timely execution of all payroll processes
Co-Ordinate with key stakeholders, including HR & External partners, to ensure the timely delivery of payroll deadlines.
Ensure compliance with company policies and local tax regulations
Co-ordinate payroll deductions for employee benefits such as BIK, health insurance, Tax Saver & Bike to work Schemes.
Prepare monthly payroll journals, reconciliations and reports for management and external auditors
Act as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related queries from employees, colleagues and external stakeholders
Assist with R&D tax credit calculations and employee grant-related process
Accounts Payable
Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure proper approvals and coding
Maintain vendor records and handle vendor inquiries and reconciliations
Schedule and prepare payments
Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve discrepancies
Prepare monthly accounts payable reports and assist with month-end close
Maintain organized and complete accounts payable files

Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Advanced Excel and numeracy skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data.
Comfortable working cross-functionally with the People team (HR), Finance, and external vendors.
Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Understanding of GDPR and data privacy requirements related to payroll.
Requirements
Recognised Payroll and / or Finance qualification (IATI / IPASS)
Proficiency in payroll & Finance Systems
Min 2 years experience in similar role
Candidates must hold a relevant visa to work in Ireland
