Development Manager, Renewable / Solar - Dublin (Hybrid)

Design Build Search are working with a leader in the energy sector who continue to expand nationally. Due to exciting growth plans they have an opportunity for a development Manager. In this position you willbe responsible for all aspects of developing solar farm projects as well as other forms of renewable technologies as the need arises. This will involve supporting the origination of opportunities, landowner negotiations, outline design and resource assessment, environmental and planning work, stakeholder management and the management of development projects through the planning system. Sectors : Windfarm and Solar Requirements : Degree or equivalent qualification in the area of Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management or similar. An in-depth knowledge and experience (5+ years) of the renewables industry including a thorough knowledge of technical and development work for renewable projects. Demonstrable experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously, utilising large numbers of resources, including consultants and contractors. Full EU driving licence. Experience and / or understanding of the planning process ROI Responsibilities include : Effective external stakeholder management including landowners, politicians, planners, third party consultants and specialists, utilities, local authorities and other public bodies Effective internal stakeholder management including Senior Management, Corporate Development, Renewables Team, Renewables O&M Team and Regulation. Responsible for resource assessments. Responsible for obtaining planning consents and amendments. Manage planning compliance pre-construction. Input into technology selection. Commercial negotiation with stakeholders and project counterparties. Responsible for risk and opportunity management and reporting on each project. Input to regulatory lobbying. Responsible for regular reporting on projects. Manage the budget for projects. Understand and have input to cash flow projections.
