About the Role

Join Our Infrastructure Services as a junior-to-mid-level Mechanical Support Engineer and play a key part in supporting global data centre cooling and airflow modelling. Working within the mechanical engineering team, youll collaborate with senior engineers. You will also work with stakeholders across design, construction, and sustainability. Together, you will enhance the efficiency and sustainability of global infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• CFD Analysis : Support computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis for airflow and cooling in data centres using tools such as HELYX, OpenFOAM, or similar.
• Simulation & Reporting : Post-process simulation results and prepare clear, visual summaries for senior engineering teams.
• Model Validation : Assist in validating CFD models against operational benchmarks and real-world data.
• Collaboration : Work with design and sustainability teams to assess cooling performance and water usage impacts.
• Tool Development : Contribute to the development and improvement of in-house airflow and water use modelling tools.
• Documentation : Help document simulation assumptions, inputs, and interpretations for internal knowledge sharing.
• Learning & Knowledge Sharing : Engage in specific training and participate in team knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Innovation Support : Occasionally assist with thermal / water modelling for experimental or emerging technologies.
