Your key responsibilities

Designing scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures using Databricks and cloud-native tools

Leading the development of data models, pipelines, and integration frameworks that support analytics and AI

Collaborating with clients and internal teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions

Setting data governance and quality standards to ensure trusted and compliant data

Guiding and mentoring engineering teams through architecture decisions and best practices

Driving innovation by exploring new tools, patterns, and approaches to data architecture

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must have :

A third level qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline, or relevant experience related to the position

Proven experience working in a client-facing consulting environment, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations, navigate complex requirements, and deliver tailored solutions across diverse industries.

7 years' experience working with Databricks.

Good hands on experience with Spark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog

Strong understanding of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS and / or Google Cloud

Experience designing data lakes, lakehouses, and modern data platforms

Proven experience managing and mentoring high-performing data engineering teams, driving collaboration, professional growth and successful project delivery

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving

Ideally, you will also have :

Familiarity with data security, privacy, and compliance frameworks

Knowledge of data mesh, data fabric, or other emerging architecture patterns

Professional certification in Databricks
