Teamworx are delighted to be recruiting a Bar Manager for our client,  who operates a renowned, high-volume bar with a strong food offering that attracts a lively mix of both locals and international visitors. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and award-winning standards, this venue is a cornerstone of Galway’s hospitality scene.

The Role

As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and leading a motivated and professional team. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with strong Irish bar experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage and motivate bar and floor staff, including training and scheduling

Oversee stock control, ordering, and budgeting

Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and compliance

Drive sales and maximise revenue opportunities

Ensure a warm, welcoming experience for both regulars and tourists alike

Collaborate with the kitchen and events teams to deliver a seamless food and beverage experience

About You

Minimum 3 years’ management experience in a busy Irish bar or hospitality venue

Strong people leadership and communication skills

Proven ability to manage high-volume service smoothly and efficiently

A passion for hospitality and delivering top-class customer service

Knowledge of licensing laws, health & safety, and food hygiene regulations
