Specified Purpose Contract - Fulltime and Part time positions

The post of Staff Midwife is based in the Rotunda Hospital.

Professional Qualifications and Experience :

Essential :

Candidates must be :

• Registered in the Midwifery Division of the Register of Nurses kept by An Bord Altranais or be entitled to be registered
• Have the clinical and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role

Desirable :

Experience in the provision of Antenatal Education Classes and in providing all aspects of antenatal care, support and advice

Knowledge of HIQA Quality / Hygiene Accreditation Process and other national quality initiatives

Experience of participation in audit or research projects

Evidence of recent relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
