We are Hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing - ADON to lead a Nursing Home in Wexford, Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the DON in fostering a culture of best practices and ongoing improvement in the house.
- Possess enough knowledge of every facet of home operations, including
- Thorough understanding of every resident, in order to meet with or reply to HIQA personnel when the DON is not present.
- Be well-versed on the notification forms that must be sent to HIQA under different conditions, as well as the deadline for submitting them.
- In charge of creating and carrying out all action plans as well as reviewing and keeping an eye on any complaints and incidents that occur in the houses.
- In charge of making sure that every resident's quality of life objective is fulfilled.
- In charge of overseeing the continuous evaluation and assessment of nursing care and making sure that it is tailored to each resident's needs.
Requirements
It is preferred to have at least three years of relevant ADON or acting ADON experience.Presently listed as a registered member of the Irish Nursing and Midwifery Board (NMBI);Proven clinical and professional aptitude, as well as organisational, communication, and leadership abilities;Practical familiarity with HIQA rules, standards, and processes;It is quite beneficial to have post-registration training in gerontology and / or dementia care.The ability to work in Ireland must be met.Benefits
