We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) to join our team in the Children's Disability Network Team 3.
Contract Type : Permanent Contract Hours : 18.75 hours per week Salary Scale : €54,209 - €64,461 pro rata per annum.
Salary scales are subject to LSI's (Long Service Increments) Annual Leave Entitlement : 34 / 35 / 37 days commensurate with experience pro rata per annum This pay scale is subject to increases in 2025 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
Overview of the Post To work as a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) as a member of the Children's Disability Network team in Network 3, providing a quality, evidence based service to children and young people 0 - 18 years within an interdisciplinary framework and family centred practice and to support other staff and students as assigned.
The aim of this programme is to provide a unified national approach to delivering disability health services so that each child has a clear pathway to the services they need, regardless of where they live, what school they attend or the nature of their disability or delay.
Overview of Duties & Responsibilities - Provide direct Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) services to a defined caseload with Children's Disability Network services in Kilkenny, both individually and in groups.
To ensure effective maintenance of client records in line with Freedom of Information Act, Data Protection Act, Enable Ireland national and local policy guidelines and best practice, thus ensuring Duty of Care responsibilities are met.

Service Delivery & Initiative - Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to make a credible contribution to the service.
Building and Maintaining Working Relationships - Forms strong positive working relationships across all areas of the service, builds on a common understanding.
Team Working - Attend and participate in relevant meetings including Individual Family Support Planning and case conference meetings and team meetings as required.
The successful candidate will have : Essential Criteria : (a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition : (i) A recognised validated University Degree or an equivalent qualification in Intellectual Disability / General or Children's nursing.
(ii) Are registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) (Bord Altranais agus Cnaimhseachais na h Eireann) or entitled to be so registered.
and (iii) Have at least 5 years post registration experience (or an aggregate of 5 years full-time post registration experience) of which 2 years must be in the area of children's disability.
and (iv) Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
and (v) Candidates must demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development.
and (a) Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability including a high standard of suitability and clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
Annual Registration On appointment, practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnaimhseachais na h Eireann).
and Confirm annual registration with NMBI to Enable Ireland Applicants must be eligible to work in the state and available to commence immediately.
Desirable Criteria : I.
RNID qualified.
II. Good knowledge of child protection & child development.
III. Experience in conducting Assessment of Need Assessments.
IV. Experience of working in a community based setting.
V.
Experience of working with children with disabilities.
